President Mahmoud Abbas today condemned the twin suicide attack that struck a popular crowded market in central Baghdad, killing some 30 people.
“We stand in solidarity with the President, government and people of Iraq during this heinous act of terrorism against innocent defenseless people,” President Abbas stated.
He extended his deepest condolences to the families of the victims, as he expressed his hope for the speedy recovery of the wounded.
A twin suicide attack struck a popular crowded market in central Baghdad on Thursday morning, killing at least 28 people and wounding 70 others.
No one has yet claimed responsibility for the attack in Tayaran Square.
