The founder of Handala Palestinian products store, Kennett Larsen, a Norwegian friend of Palestine, died in Oslo this week. He was 66.
Palestine's ambassador to Norway, Marie Antoinette Seyden, mourned Larsen, who passed away in the city of Bergen, western Norway.
Seyden expressed her deep sorrow for the departure of a loyal friend and advocate for the causes of the Palestinian people, who had never hesitated to participate in activities in support of the Palestinian cause.
Larsen was a Norwegian trade unionist who headed one of the Norwegian trade unions. He was also a journalist who wrote for a number of Norwegian media outlets. He always participated in activities in support of the Palestinian people, and he also participated in delegations of solidarity with the Palestinian people in the West Bank and Lebanon's refugee camps. He also chaired the Handala Association, which is concerned with promoting Palestinian products in Norway and boycotting Israeli goods.
