Hassan Hamed Al-Baldawi ... With the first bullet fired from Russia towards Ukraine, experts and the media were confused in describing what Moscow had done towards its western neighbor.
But it has been noticed that during the past few hours, since the Russian strikes against Ukraine, the state of division has become clear in describing what is going on between “invasion or war”?
And if military custom says that with the first bullet fired in the war, you do not know which path the end of the battles will take, but what Russian President Vladimir Putin did - who lost patience with Ukraine - does not appear to be an all-out war or a complete invasion compared to the goal he hopes for.
Putin's dream is growing to return to the borders of the Cold War and fortify Russia's biosphere, especially Ukraine, from NATO's ambitions.

What Putin is doing, according to preliminary indications from the field, is a limited and targeted military operation, and the Russian plan focuses on two main axes:
The first axis...military
On the military side, the direct Russian goal is to deliver very precise strikes aimed at paralyzing the capabilities of the Ukrainian military forces.
This refers to allowing a limited incursion aimed at strengthening the military capabilities of the pro-Moscow separatists in order to be able to conduct military battles alone later.
In this regard, the Russian Defense Ministry announced that 11 airfields, 3 command points, and 18 S-300 and Buk M-1 radar stations had been disabled as a result of the bombing in Ukraine.
According to the Russian army, 74 military facilities have been destroyed in Ukraine since Moscow launched a large-scale military operation in the morning.
"After the strikes of the Russian armed forces, 74 ground military installations of the Ukrainian military infrastructure are out of service. This includes 11 airstrips for the Air Force," said Russian Defense Ministry spokesman General Igor Konashenkov.
In turn, the Ukrainian police indicated that Russia carried out 203 attacks since the beginning of the day.
The second axis is a geo-political
As for the second geo-political goal, it is to create a complete separatist situation inside Ukraine with a long-term conflict, which practically means the impossibility of Kiev joining NATO, under the same alliance conditions.
Jonathan Steele, a British journalist specializing in Russian affairs, explained Putin's intentions in this particular goal, saying in an article in the Guardian newspaper that the Russian president, through the incursion into Donetsk and Luhansk, created "a conflict that will remain frozen before solutions" because he is absolutely certain that NATO will not accept the membership of a state with a lack of sovereignty.
The British writer pointed out that Putin had previously applied this strategy by creating so-called “frozen conflicts” already in Georgia and Moldova, which were also divided because of the pro-Russian states, and now Ukraine is joining the list.
