Four Palestinians have died of coronavirus disease and 553 new cases were recorded in Palestine in the last 24 hours, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila.
She said in the daily COVID-19 briefing that 132 people have recovered from the disease bringing the recoveries to 63.4 percent of the total cases, while 36 percent remain active.
Total recoveries since March has reached 16,210, including 11,870 in the West Bank and Gaza and 4340 in East Jerusalem.
The four deaths were recorded in Nablus, in the north of the West Bank, in East Jerusalem, in Izzarieh, east of Jerusalem, and the fourth in the Hebron district in the south of the West Bank.
Total number of deaths has reached 147, including 129 in the West Bank, one in the Gaza Strip and 17 in East Jerusalem.
Alkaila said 28 patients remain critical in intensive care, including five on respirators.
Of the new cases, 201 were in the Hebron district, while 184 in the Jerusalem district, including 142 in East Jerusalem where 105 of the recoveries were reported.
Total number of corona cases in Palestine since the outbreak of the disease in March has reached 25,577, including 19,104 in the West Bank, 6364 in East Jerusalem and 109 in the Gaza Strip.
